I only recently have become interested in upgrading my Del Sol I want to give it enough power to get uphill without droppin to 35 mph, some updated exterior work and custom lighting would be nice too I do not know much about cars. What should my first step be? What work should I look into getting done first? Any advise would help

Start with a tune up, make sure the car is safe and running at its best then do you other things. At the bottom is a link to all things Del Sol, everything from maintenance to engine swaps.

Go to home Depot and look for a For Sale sign. Once sold look for a Mazda Miata to buy. Upgrade complete!

The fuel cap is screwed on tightly but at random times lately the "check fuel cap" warning is showing on my dash.

This is a newer Honda because, older Honda’s don’t have a "check fuel cap" lights! You provided very little vehicle information (such as the year and the sub-model of your accord! But if yours has the 2.4L 4 cyl. it has a problem with failed Canister Purge Solenoid/Valve!

ADDED: If parts have to be ordered then that is not a common problem!

If it is an older Honda it can be the usual causes (including a saturated charcoal canister from overfilling the tank) but if it is relatively new Honda has had trouble with defective (possibly contaminated) charcoal canisters causing repeated and intermittent fuel cap warnings. See the first source.

The light is saying you have an evap leak. A loose gas cap is usually the main culprit. My advice is to get a new gas cap and if that doesn’t work you will need to check your filler neck and fuel lines for an evaporation leak.

did u screw it tightly til the cap starts clicking
ifu did do that the o ring on the gas cap may be bad and can be easily replaced (the whole cap) for really cheap

Dash bord light went out and my tail lights as well at the same time. ive been looking for the fuse but i dont understand witch is witch and i want to see if its one of the fuses. for example when i tuurn on my headlights my tail lights are off but when i press the brakes the brake lights turn on. Can someone plz help me what it can be, i know there are 2 fuse boxesfirst one is under the hood and the other one is under the driverside but i dont know witch fuse it can be to see if its burnd out or something else. thank you for your help every bit help.

It does sound like a fuse. You should have an owner’s guide that comes with the vehicle. It should show you where everything in your car is located. If it’s not in there, Have a mechanic look at it.

Basically what I want to know is that if I put my manual dc1 for sale thats only done 120,000 kms would the amount I get for that sale be enough to buy a higher kilometre manual DC2 with say 200,000 kms plus?

It’s possible.

It will depend on the condition of your 93 Integra and what kind of condition DC2 you are looking to get.

can anybody point me in the direction of some good pinouts wiring diagrams etc for my 1997 honda del sol si. i am looking to try to make a lcd screen to be installed in the dash that shows all the possible realtime data so anything from how the guages signals are sent and their scales to wiring diagrams would help out. starting senior design early

where we havepowerto headlights butapparently none to starter motorwe will often find problem is at starter motor itself.
a very common issue is the starter motor solenoidfailing giving us no ‘clicking’ noise we tend to hear when it engagesthe starter motor. We can try having somebodyturn ignitionkey to start position and at same timewhack starter motor ( solenoid )to see if it will suddenly ‘click’ in andcrank engine over.?
soundsunlikely to be anything else by your description andan exchange starter motor is possibly best way forward.

It could be your starter or even maybe a connection issue between the ignition switch. Good luck
